Patient Safety

Medical Disclaimer

Everything published in the PainHealth education library, wellness hub, and Pain Profiler is general information. None of it is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for care from your own clinician.

No diagnosis

Self-assessment tools on this site organise the information you enter. They do not diagnose a condition, and they do not determine whether a procedure is appropriate for you.

Exercise and movement

Movement protocols are not appropriate for every patient. Stop any exercise immediately if you develop sharp, radiating, or worsening pain, numbness, weakness, or changes in bowel or bladder control, and contact a clinician.

Speak with a qualified clinician before beginning a new exercise program, especially after surgery, injury, or a new episode of pain.

Emergencies

This website is not monitored for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Review

Published resources carry an author or reviewer name and a last-reviewed date. Resources without that information are drafts and are not published.

This page is a working draft pending review by PainHealth counsel and compliance. Questions? Email better@painhealth.com.
